WOW. What can we say? With a queue forming even before we opened the doors we knew this was going to be A Massive PARTY! Promptly at 10 the clubbers were ushered into the venue ready for the party of the weekend! ChristianM kicked off the night spinning a future thinking set of anthems in the making. Cue explosions, hands in the air and rounds of whooping! At 1:25 ChristianM spun his last song (Axwell, Angello, Ingrosso & Laidback Luke - Leave The World Behind) Before handing the packed dance floor over to the headline of the night.
The Freemasons thrilled the crowd for 2 hours playing there energetic and uplifting sound. They dropped their next single ‘Heartbreak Make Me A Dancer’ and the crowd erupted! After 2 hours the crowd was still rocking and Wayne G led them on a journey for the next 2 and half hours. Wayne kicked off his set with his collaboration with PEYTON ‘Ur the Best Thing’ Wayne kept the army of party bears and goldilocks dancing till the lights came up at 6am If the main arch was not your thing, then you probably spent your time in one of the other dance arenas. First up was the Big Bois room. Where indie retro and pop tunes bring all the boys and girls to the yard! Dams right! Joe egg kept them rocking round the clock! In the back bar the Cozmic served up 100% NRG and uplifting house complete with their visuals and legendary Flag Dancers.
All in all it was an AMAZING night. FUSION RETURNS MAY 24th. More details to be released soon!

'The bears were out in force to celebrate both St Patrick’s Day and XXL owner Mark Ames’ birthday last Saturday. DJ ChristianM ruled the Main Floor with a mix of chunky house for a full six hours until newcomer like Mikalis showed the crowd what he’s made of with quite possibly one of the finest electro house sets that the club has ever heard.
Leonardo Glovibes and Steve Felice kept the Lab busy, Joe Egg delivered an indieretro-pop mash-up in the Back Bar and the chubs and cubs of Southwark left The Arches very happy indeed See the page in the press clippings. |

If you are a regular at XXL then you probably already noticed this face behind the decks in arch 3. But if not then here is a long over-due introduction to Leonardo Glovibes. Leonardo has taken up residency alongside Jon Byrne and Mark Ames in The Lab in Arch 3.
Leonardo brings Italian style and panache to many of London’s clubs, lounge bars and parties, Leonardo (Glovibes as producer) after notching up several years as resident DJ in major Italian clubs, extended his experience to the radio, achieving prolific exposure on networks across Italy.
Whilst he specializes in all facets of house tech-house and dance music, Leondardo’s long love affair with music means his flight cases are stocked with a wide selection. |

 Well the results are in! The Pink Paper Readers' Awards 2009 have been announced! Thousands of Pink Paper readers nominated and voted over the last few months. We made it into second place this year as The Best Club in London and the South. Only nipped to the post by G-A-Y. Not bad we think!
